About Us
ChangingStreets.com is about you, the client, and your interaction with all of our parts.
We are a big family made up of different people in different places. We are Fathers, Mothers, Coaches, Volunteers, Marathoners, Stained Glass Makers, Educators and Students. We are in North Carolina, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada and when we are really lucky Hawaii. We are Programmers, Realtors, Assistants, Photographers, Marketing Wizards, Home Stagers, Loan Officers and Sign Installers.
None of us are all these but we are all share a common trait, a desire to truly help people buy and sell homes.
At ChangingStreets.com® we love what we do and we do what we love. We are in a rapidly changing industry and we pride ourselves on keeping our clients ahead of the curve. We’ve got StreetSmarts. We’d love to go to work for you in buying or selling your next home.
The goal is simple—to raise the expectations of consumers. To empower buyers and sellers with information that will make the experience: Smart > Easy > Sane.
A great website can help you Identify possible homes, a StreetSmart agent can guide you through the process, it is both that make for the ideal experience.

Why ChangingStreets.com?
If you haven’t noticed, ChangingStreets.com is beyond a web site with homes for sale on it. We are not a “discount broker.” We have done more than build a successful real estate company. We are the leader in the way real estate should be done; built for the consumer by consumer centric people. ChangingStreets.com realized a long time ago consumers care about three things, access to information, access to time, transparency.
This leaves the agent in a great position, they need to be intelligent about their market, trained in the most consumer friendly systems, and honest. A much better position than other companies put them in, a marketer, blogger, webmaster, advertiser, sign planter…we all know the many hats a good agent wears. By allowing consumers to consume, when they want, ChangingStreets.com culture allows agents to focus on revenue generating activity like agenting; and it allows brokers to focus on pro-active things like brokering.
I know that sounds so obvious, but look around our industry it really is not.
So how does this happen?
All homes for sale viewed on ChangingStreets.com are linked to one of our Realtors®. Prospective clients and customers have an option to call that Realtor® directly, e-mail or even chat live about a property for sale while on the web.
Our website can be hyper-local to the market you want to pursue, we can feature a town, a neighborhood, even a subdivision. If you have the passion for an area we can make it happen all within ChangingStreets.com
Agents have very consumer friendly tools for form generation and sharing, transaction management and communication. Need an open house sign? Log onto our agent portal and order one, need cards? Same! Everything you need is a keyboard or smartphone away.
Brokers we can show you how to establish ChangingStreets.com in your market, with a turnkey real estate office, we take a great deal of the frustration out of the process; you can have a website, blogs, referrals, business cards, signs, phone, direct mail, flyers, door hangers, policy procedures, and a business plan in less than 30 days from licensing your brokerage! Upfront cost= Zero.
When we opened the original ChangingStreets.com in 2001 there were no “best practices” to follow, no profitability model for a real estate firm, now there is. We provide coaching, consulting, working models, experience and the sharing of brilliant brokers. Real Estate can be a lonely place, the ChangingStreets.com family is about keeping all components productive and profitable.
All of this is great, but you have to be ready to work in a consumer oriented company. This is not the future of real estate, it is the today. If you are interested in aligning your consumer focused practice with a consumer focused brand that is dynamic and growing contact us today for more information. All correspondence is held with the strictest confidence and privacy.

Our Leadership Team
S. Scott Hoyt, Founder/CEO
Scott has literally grown up in the housing industry. He started out by typing loan packages at his parent’s mortgage bank in fourth grade. Scott has unparalleled experience in the industry. He has performed every job in the mortgage industry on both the servicing, and origination sides (including two consecutive years originating over 1,000 loans per year). He has worked for a top five Real Estate Franchise as Vice President of Strategy, reporting directly to the CEO and has owned his own Real Estate firm for 10 years.
At ChangingStreets.com, Scott works with local managers, develops the strategic plan, and project manages technology development. Scott is also active in the buying/selling field as well. He manages two REO accounts and works on listings to keep sharp.
“Everything I do at ChangingStreets.com is meant to increase the consumer experience and be scalable. If my compass stays pointed in this direction it will allow both offices and agents to grow profitability beyond what they use to totally kick ass in today’s market place. We will never be able to compete in agent count with third generation huge companies, but we can provide a better consumer experience by being proactive and nimble, something today’s fifty year old companies cannot do, ever.”
-Scott Hoyt
David Nemer, Broker/Owner ChangingStreets.com Advanced

David went on to get a Degree in Construction Management from Michigan State University. He is a tireless worker with great market savvy. He not only is running, and expanding his ChangingStreets.com markets, he also has a great deal of input into new product development, and ChangingStreets.com strategy.

Adam E. Abt, Co-Founder, Flint Market Leader
Adam has over 17 years experience in the real estate industry. Adam was quick out of the gate! He was winning awards his first year at Re/Max and hasn’t looked back since! Adam is one of the biggest product innovators at ChangingStreets.com. He is always taking the pulse of the market, and finding solutions in the best interest of our clients. He is also an excellent trainer and salesman, still one of the area’s top producing agents while leading the market center and managing his corporate duties. He is currently overseeing our Foreclosure Alternative Division.
Pat Oakes, President, Flint Area Association of Realtors (again)
Pat is a dynamic personality that has been a huge part of his market for over 20 years. Not only has Pat closed over $175,000,000 in real estate transactions (that is huge in a market with an average sales price of $100,000), he has closed more million dollar homes than anyone in his market. He is also the current sitting President of the Flint Area Association of Realtors, for the second time. We are very proud to have a respected leader like Pat on our team, and his input makes our company better.
